Madhuri Dixit, I Love You!

15 years old...It all started with Dances of the World at Bravo Medical Magnet High School...... I was actually in this audience... the first time I heard Indian music, knew many people on the stage and snuck peeks of the practices (very against Ms. Cobian's wishes, LOL) but did not know what to expect. -- Choli Ke Peeche, 1996, Bravo High Dances of the World

Then I started to do my research....... and found the song and video that changed my entire perspective on music. During high school and college I had a serious love affair with Indian music of all kinds and when I found "Bombay Spiceland" in Northridge I started to search for as many Madhuri videos as the could offer. There were other places, but "B.S." was always the best. I found Khal Nayak, the movie containing the following video, and I was hooked!

and Madhuri has been MY HERO ever since.... she connects with my inner dancer like no other ever has.

and she continues to THRILL me....

over and over and over.....

has she stolen you yet?? well try this on for size!! BEAUTY

... teamed up with Aishwarya (she was pregnant here!)

so of course there are many more videos where this came from, but I'll choose this one as the finally.... maybe... we'll see, you never know what I might bump into (12:07 pm.....)

*I studied this video as a teen and learned everything by college....! (I wonder if I can still hold it down??)*

OKAY! you forced me into it!!! ;-)
I like this look on her too.... subtle... great ORANGE

(12:32 pm and I'm still searching, but I'll let it go)

@12:36, I pause some Indian music (a soundtrack to a movie Madhuri was in , of course) to go comment on the song to Albert... only to find him in tears, reminiscing about his childhood and missing his mom.... so now I shed a few because I thought about my grandparents and others that've passed on....

Thanks Madhuri! :-) You'll always be the BEST!
